Will I look Natural with filler?

But First, Which fillers Do we use?

We have over 11 years of filler injection experience, and back when we first started using filler, there were not very many options for filler.  We basically had Juvderm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, and that’s about it.  We have used many different filler products and brands over the years, but we have always come back to the Juvederm family of fillers.

Juvederm Fillers:

  1. Voluma

  2. Volux

  3. Vollure

  4. Volbella

  5. Juvederm Ultra

  6. Juvederm Ultra Plus XC

Because of all of the new types of filler, we are able to really customize a filler treatment for each patient, depending on what areas they are looking to treat.  We have returned to Juvederm products because, in our experience, they last the longest and they give us the most options for ideal volume restoration, which makes them a better value.  We use these filler products on ourselves, so we would only use the filler products we trust the most on ourselves on you.

“The Juvderm family of fillers recommends at least one syringe of filler for every decade of age.”

Now, WIll I Look Unnatural if I get Filler?

A common question we get is, “Will I look unnatural if I get filler?”  And the answer is, “only if you really want to look unnatural,” and here is why—Each syringe of filler contains about 1/5 of a teaspoon of filler, so not a lot of product at all.  So although 5 syringes of filler may sound like a lot of product, 5 syringes is only 1 teaspoon of total filler product.

The Juvderm family of fillers recommends at least one syringe of filler for every decade of age.  So if you are 36 years old, you will typically need 3 to 4 syringes of filler to restore the volume loss just from the natural aging process.  If you are 56 years old, you will need 5 to 6 syringes of filer to help restore volume loss from aging.  And if you are 76 years of age, you will need 7 to 8 syringes of filler to restore volume loss from the natural aging process.  So unless you are doing over 7 or 8 syringes of filler, you won’t look unnatural.  You can also imagine how a syringe or two of filler on a patient who is 40 will not correct all of the facial aging that they have at 40.

Some people seem to think that a syringe of filler is a vast amount of product and that they can spread one syringe of filler in various areas of their face, and the truth is that is it just 1/5 of a teaspoon and that doesn’t go a long way.  Knowing this information can help you be more prepared for the amount of filler that you may need for full volume correction.
